Southend High School for Boys was founded in 1895 and provided the first secondary education within the Borough of Southend-on-Sea. It is now a highly successful and reputable Academy Grammar School within the county.

Brief

Southend High School for Boys required an efficient and professional database for the careers department of the school. The database needed to allow local businesses to be able to 'sign up' and register their interest in providing work experience placements for Southend High School for Boys pupils. The interaction with students to enable them to view certain information on the available placements was another certain requirement.

Solution

The creation of a bespoke database and website. One section of the website allows businesses to 'sign up' and review their information. The other section allows the students to search through available work placement opportunities and register their interest accordingly.

Result

Southend High School for Boys are able to effectively promote and collate information with limited admin input needed. They also have all the information on all there previous and new business stored in one database.
